Circa la metà dei 4,6 milioni di abitanti della Siria nordoccidentale è stata costretta a lasciare le proprie case a causa del conflitto, con 1,7 milioni che ora vivono in tende e campi profughi nella regione, secondo l’agenzia delle Nazioni Unite per l’infanzia, l’UNICEF. L’anno scorso, l’agenzia ha riferito che 3,3 milioni di siriani nell’area non avevano cibo sicuro.
