Si svolgerà a Salerno (Auditorium del Grand Hotel Salerno) da lunedì 17 a giovedì 20 aprile 2023 il 43° Convegno nazionale delle Caritas diocesane, dal titolo “Agli incroci delle strade. Abitare il territorio, abitare le relazioni”. Vi parteciperanno oltre 600 delegati, rappresentanti delle 220 Caritas diocesane di tutta Italia, che si ritroveranno per un confronto e una riflessione lungo le “tre vie” consegnate alle Caritas da Papa Francesco nell’udienza del 26 giugno 2021, in occasione del 50° dell’istituzione di Caritas italiana (1 luglio 1971): “partire dagli ultimi, custodire lo stile del Vangelo, sviluppare la creatività”.
Il 43° convegno si colloca “in un momento particolare per la società e la Chiesa italiana, con la drammatica guerra in Ucraina, alle porte dell’Europa, che dura da più di un anno e per la quale non si vedono prospettive di soluzione a breve, la recente sciagura di Cutro che ci riporta alla tragica quotidianità delle persone in fuga da guerra e povertà, e le tante crisi in atto, a partire da quella economica, ambientale e demografica”, si legge in una nota di Caritas italiana. In questo contesto le Caritas diocesane “si riuniscono per camminare insieme sulla via degli ultimi, cercare i lontani e gli esclusi, condividere ferite e fragilità, valorizzare doni e potenzialità di ognuno”. L’uscita “verso le periferie geografiche ed esistenziali” diventa indispensabile per “rileggere la realtà”.
