C’è un’interessante novità che riguarda l’ex Italcementi di Senigallia. Lo spiazzo sterrato, dove un tempo sorgeva la fabbrica di materiali per l’edilizia con la sua ciminiera, è oggi un parcheggio a servizio del mare d’estate e del centro storico (sottoutilizzato però) d’inverno. Quell’area è stata venduta all’asta per oltre 2,5 milioni di euro al quarto tentativo di vendita, quando ormai in tanti in città avevano perso le speranze di vederla rinascere.
Dopo anni di abbandono in attesa che si muovessero le acque, si apre una prospettiva nuova per il lotto sud di quello che sarebbe dovuto divenire il borgo delle torri. Naufragato nel 2013, a seguito del crack finanziario di banca Marche, l’innovativo progetto Portoghesi. Nell’area in questione, posta tra via Bixio e il lungomare Mameli, ancora campeggiano il portale di accesso e due edifici ormai diroccati.
Riqualificare gli oltre 18mila mq non sarà un’impresa semplice e nemmeno economica: oltre a notevoli investimenti economici, sarà necessaria anche una variante urbanistica per suddividere i due lotti, inizialmente pensati con un corpo unico. E in futuro…
