Sarà il Papa, per la prima volta dall’inizio del pontificato, l’autore dei testi delle meditazioni della Via Crucis di venerdì prossimo, 29 marzo, al Colosseo. Il tema delle meditazioni – informa la Sala Stampa della Santa Sede – è: “In preghiera con Gesù sulla via della Croce”. Si tratterà, a quanto si apprende, di una Via Crucis “molto meditativa: un atto di preghiera, un momento spirituale con Gesù al centro”. Più che sull’attualità, le meditazioni saranno quindi “molto incentrate su Gesù, sul modo in cui lui vive quei momenti. Da lì, lo sguardo si allarga al mondo della sofferenza”. “Accompagnare Gesù sulla via della Croce e nella preghiera”, l’intenzione di fondo delle meditazione scritte da Papa Francesco, nell’Anno della preghiera da lui indetto in vista del Giubileo. Finora, i testi della Via Crucis erano stati affidati dal Santo Padre a persone singole o a gruppi. L’anno scorso, le meditazioni del tradizionale rito al Colosseo erano state tratte dalle testimonianze incontrate nei viaggi apostolici.
