Il prof. Umberto Eco parlava così nel 2015. Parole citatissime e sinceramente in molti pensavamo ormai superate. Il solito snob, ripiegato sul suo sapere, che se la prendeva con la tanto osannata democraticità dei social, capaci di buttar giù la granitica torre d’avorio del sapere dei pochi.
Magari un po’ di spocchia ce l’avrà anche avuta, ma quanto aveva ragione Eco! Non solo la democrazia non vive di vita nuova – anzi – ma l’ignoranza cresce a dismisura. Così come la stupidità, la convinzione di pensarsi ironici, geniali, davvero irresistibili nel commentare la qualunque, possibilmente dileggiando sensibilità, esperienze e idee che non coincidono con le proprie. Che rabbia nel leggere tanta arrogante inconsistenza; poi però arriva quasi subito tanta tristezza nel toccare con mano la mole di mediocrità che abita il nostro mondo, anche vicino.
Intelligenza, merce rara. Intanto la si progetta artificialmente in laboratorio. Chissà…
