Avviati i lavori alle ex colonie Enel sul lungomare Da Vinci, a Senigallia. Il progetto, di cui si parla da oltre due decenni, ha ripreso slancio recentemente e il gruppo Benni avrà tre anni di tempo per completare la realizzazione del complesso residenziale “da Vinci”. Al momento è sospesa tutta l’altra parte della progettazione, quella relativa al settore ricettivo e ristorativo.
Per la città di Senigallia si tratta di un’iniziativa edilizia di rilievo, un’occasione di rilancio di un’area in abbandono da tempo ma che non è piaciuta a tutti: negli anni, ha ricevuto numerose critiche sia per l’abbattimento di quel particolare edificio, appunto le ex colonie Enel che tra il 1943 e il 1944 furono persino un campo provinciale di concentramento degli ebrei, ma anche per la previsione di interruzione del lungomare, ora scongiurata.
