«The Economy of Francesco», l’evento ideato un anno e mezzo fa da papa Francesco per sollecitare giovani economisti e imprenditori a fare un lavoro di squadra per il bene comune, è finalmente realtà. Duemila di loro, provenienti da 120 Paesi, si incontrano, se pure in modalità online, dal 19 al 21 novembre, per proporre la loro economia: «Sostenibile, inclusiva, attenta agli ultimi ».
Confermata la partecipazione di papa Francesco che a chiusura della tre giorni manderà un videomessaggio. Per l’occasione il 21 novembre alle 23 (ore italiane) il monumento al Cristo Redentore a Rio de Janeiro sarà illuminato con i colori simbolo dell’Economy of Francesco: verde, marrone e giallo. «Grazie a San Francesco e a papa Francesco è nato il più vasto movimento di giovani economisti a livello internazionale. È di queste notizie che oggi la società e la Chiesa hanno bisogno», ha dichiarato il direttore scientifico Luigino Bruni
All’evento digitale si potrà assistere in diretta streaming sul portale francescoeconomy.org e avrà come base Assisi con collegamenti in diretta dai luoghi francescani. Sullo stesso portale il programma dettagliato giorno per giorno. Anche avvenire.it rilancerà alcuni degli incontri.
Previste conferenze con relatori di fama internazionale, tra cui il premio Nobel Muhammad Yunus e economisti ed esperti quali Kate Raworth, Jeffrey Sachs, Vandana Shiva, Stefano Zamagni, Mauro Magatti, Juan Camilo Cardenas, Jennifer Nedelsky, Sr. Cécile Renouard oltre a numerosi imprenditori. Tra un anno ad Assisi si terrà il primo incontro in presenza.
