Sarà aperto tutti i giorni feriali, dal lunedì al sabato, sino all’8 gennaio col consueto orario 9-12 e 16-18 Palazzo Mastai – Casa Museo Pio IX di Senigallia anche in questo periodo delle festività natalizie 2021. Ad ingresso gratuito si potrà visitare uno dei musei più antichi delle Marche, aperto al pubblico sin dal 1892.
Il piano nobile del palazzo si presenta nelle sue sale che ricordano la vita di una famiglia della nobiltà di provincia che diede alla Chiesa anche il noto pontefice Papa Pio IX, al secolo Giovanni Maria Mastai Ferretti. E, proprio dei Mastai Ferretti, un emblematico ritratto è ancora in queste settimane esposto nel salone delle feste. Il ritratto, datato 9 settembre 1741 e restaurato – sotto la direzione della Soprintendenza – dal Prof. Michele Papi di Urbino, rispecchia in pieno lo spirito di un secolo complesso come il XVIII, epoca che si “respira”, anche, visitando Palazzo Mastai, la grande Casa Museo.
